Read to a Dog provides children the opportunity to read to certified therapy dogs alongside the animal's handler.   Reading aloud helps children expand vocabulary and improve comprehension. Drop-in homework help for K-8   Teen volunteers are available to assist students Grades K-8 with homework assignments as well as reading practice for 20-to-30-minute sessions. No appointments necessary but you may call on the same day to reserve a timeslot.  Otherwise, you can just show up and sign up with a tutor while there!
